Hi there!
So, we’re back for more news about me… Where was I… right, 2007 :).
After spending a week in the hospital (nothing serious, but one hell of a time), it was Christmas time and then New Years Eve, which were both great parties! After that it was time to start studying for my first American-Studies-exams, which I passed quite easily.
Then another great semester was there, with a lot of new Erasmus people, great parties, wonderful friends, work and school. In the mean time, I had subscribed for a Work & Travel Program, which mend that after a selection period, you could be selected to go to the USA to do some voluntary work for 2 months and travel for 1 month. In my case the voluntary work was about being a counselor at an American summer camp with underprivileged girls from NYC.
Great months went by, parties kept coming and going (great parties btw, like the Sensation White edition of 2008, where we were picked up in the new MINI-car :)), classes went by, exams came closer, I had to finish my thesis and I had to arrange a lot of documents concerning my application for summer camp.
Around May, I finally got the great news that I could leave the 17th of June (yes I still remember the day really good :)). So I finished the exams and thesis and made a lot of travelling plans. And then…. I left!
Exciting, traveling all alone, but all went fine. I arrived in NYC, together with a Dutch girl. After two nights in the city we took the bus to the New York mountains, where two great months started! I also found out that I passed all my exams, so I graduated for the second time.
After two marvelous months, where I met the most wonderful people, had the most amazing experience and did a lot of new things, it was time to meet my friends from back home and to start traveling throughout the States. So that was the beginning of another great month, full of adventure, going new places and just having fun!!
But that’s for next time!
Kisses

What has been...
In this first month of 2009 I would like to make a short look-back on 2008... In the mean time, it's a nice way of getting to know me.
2008 has been an adventurous, exciting and inspiring year. A lot of things changed, and other things finally began making sense... It helped me in finding my way in life a bit better.
Actually the start for this change was already made in 2007. I graduated as a Master in Applied Economics, after studying for four years, having great times with my friends, partying, hanging around, studying when needed and spending time with my "sports-council" collegeages, organising sport activities at uni. Still I felt something was missing and I decided to go for an extra master, now one in American Studies. I stayed in the SportsCouncil but also joined another organisation, named the Antwerp Erasmus Student Network (ESN), which brought me in contact with hundreds of great people. I took an extra job, with the aspiration of saving money to make an American trip in the summer of 2008.
I'm gonna keep you in suspense now :) The following of my story will continue in my next post!
See ya later!
